DESCRIPTION OF 316LVM WIRES
316LVM vacuum arc remelted stainless steel wire has spring tempered, unground (finished) surface and precise tolerances, and meets the American Society for Testing and Materials’ International ASTM A313 and F138 specifications. 316LVM stainless steel grade has good corrosion resistance even after stress relief, and has undergone vacuum arc remelting (VAR) to reduce impurities. The material may be magnetic and can be cold worked to increase strength and stiffness. Tempering the spring is very hard, and like a spring, it can resist bending and kinking until a large force is applied.
